Things to watch (6)
From the version posted Oct 20, 2026.
- Serious: 8(a) certified firms only. The planned contract is aimed at SBA-certified 8(a) firms; businesses without that certification are unlikely to be considered.
- Worth checking: Not an invitation to bid. This is market research only. The Government says it may still issue the contract as a competitive set-aside or as full and open, and respondents will not be told the results.
- Worth checking: Large contract and bonding. The estimated total is $249,000,000 with task orders up to $2,500,000, and the form asks for per-project and total bonding capacity. A small firm needs a surety able to back large work.

- Worth checking: Recent, fully completed projects required. Send 3 to 5 projects finished 100% within the last five years; projects that miss the rules may not be considered relevant.
- Minor: Cybersecurity certification asked about. The notice asks whether you hold a Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) and cites the Department of Defense rule that applies to firms handling federal contract or controlled unclassified information.
- Minor: Work may be spread across 11 states. The form asks if you can work in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Alaska, Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska and Wyoming, though most projects are expected in Washington State.
