About FedReady
FedReady helps small businesses find federal contracts they can actually win, decide which ones are worth bidding on, and keep track of every deadline, without hiring a consultant. It is built for owners who are new to government work, so it explains the jargon as it goes.
Who runs FedReady
FedReady is run by Cyrus Hakimi, its founder. Cyrus Hakimi builds the product and writes the guides, which are researched from the FAR, SBA rules and SAM.gov documentation and list their sources at the bottom of each page.
Where the data comes from
Everything on FedReady comes from public government sources:
- SAM.gov Contract Opportunities: Every open notice, its attachments list, deadlines, set-asides and contacts. Loaded every morning.
- SAM.gov Entity Registrations and Exclusions: Registration status, CAGE codes, NAICS codes and certifications for contractor profiles and lookups. Exclusions daily, registrations monthly.
- USAspending.gov: Past awards: who won similar work, what agencies spend, and each contractor's federal contract history.
- SBA size standards: The size limit for each NAICS code, so you can check whether you count as small.
- Acquisition.gov (FAR and agency supplements): The rules our guides cite when they explain set-asides, sources sought notices and registration.
Notice summaries are written by AI from the notice text and its attachments, and are labeled that way on every page. They can make mistakes, so always check the original notice on SAM.gov before you bid.
Independence
FedReady is an independent company. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to SAM.gov, the General Services Administration, the Small Business Administration, or any government agency. Registering in SAM.gov is always free, and you never need to pay anyone to do it for you.
