Things to watch (6)
From the version posted Oct 23, 2026.
- Worth checking: No award and no funding. This is only an information request, so a response doesn't lead directly to a contract.
- Worth checking: Samples are destroyed. Every submission gets destructive lab testing and isn't returned, and you pay to make and ship the samples.
- Worth checking: Responder pays all costs. The Government won't reimburse the cost of preparing or sending a response.

- Worth checking: PFAS-free and chemical limits. Products that use fluorinated chemicals, cyclic siloxanes, silicones or heavy metal catalysts don't fit the stated needs.
- Minor: Physical samples due six weeks after the electronic deadline. Fabric, yarn and fiber samples must reach Natick, MA by a separate later date.
- Minor: Questions due December 18, 2026. Clarification questions must be emailed by 5:00 PM EST on that date; verbal questions aren't accepted.
