Pricing questions

What is founder pricing?

New paid subscriptions get 50% off the list price (Pro $49/month, Pro + AI $149/month), so Pro is $24.50/month and Pro + AI is $74.50/month today. You keep the 50% discount for as long as you stay subscribed, including if you switch between plans or between monthly and yearly. If we ever change list prices, we'll email you at least 30 days before the new price applies. The discount ends when your subscription ends: when a cancellation takes effect, or when a failed payment isn't fixed. If you cancel and then undo it before your paid period ends, you keep it. If you come back later, you'll pay the price in effect then. There's no end date set, and we can end the offer for new subscribers at any time. The no-card free trial doesn't lock it in on its own, so choose a plan before the offer ends.

How does the free trial work?

Every new account gets 7 days of Pro free with no card, and when the trial ends you move to the Free plan and nothing is charged. If you choose Pro with more than 2 days of the trial left, your first charge is on the day the trial ends; Pro + AI, or Pro in the trial's last 2 days, is charged the day you choose it and ends the trial. If your business isn't active on SAM.gov yet, you can extend the trial once by 14 days from Plan & billing, during the trial or up to 7 days after it ends. The trial includes 1 AI profile draft from your website. It ends with the trial, or as soon as you choose Pro: Pro has no AI profile drafts from your website. Pro + AI includes 5 AI profile drafts from your website a month. The trial also includes 1 Pro + AI sample draft on top of Pro's 2 AI proposal drafts: once you've used those, your next “Write my first draft” uses it. It ends with the trial, or as soon as you choose Pro. Pro + AI includes 15 AI proposal drafts a month.

What happens to my work if I go back to Free?

Nothing is deleted. Your saved opportunities, notes, documents and drafts stay. What changes is what's included: paid tools such as the bid builder stop, the bid workspace shows who won similar contracts but not what they paid (that's Price this bid, part of Pro), the recompete radar and teaming partners show a preview, AI fit checks drop to 1 a month, alert emails come weekly instead of daily and cover only your oldest saved search (the rest stay saved), you can't save a new notice while you're tracking 10 open ones or start another bid while you already have 2 active ones, and you can't upload more files once you're over 50 MB, though the files you have stay. Choose a paid plan again and those limits lift.

Is there a discount for paying yearly?

Yes. Pro is $245/year and Pro + AI is $745/year with founder pricing, which works out to two months free. A yearly plan is paid up front and renews automatically each year until you cancel. We email you about 30 days before each yearly renewal, so you can cancel or switch first. If we ever shut FedReady down, we'll give 60 days' notice and refund the unused part of your year.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Paid plans renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel or switch plans anytime online from Plan & billing in your account, with no email or call needed. Canceling stops the next renewal, and you keep your plan until the end of the period you've paid for. We don't refund the rest of the current period, yearly plans included, except in the cases the Terms list: a charge made in error, a change that takes away something central to your plan, FedReady shutting down, or when the law requires it. That's why Pro comes with a free trial: try it before you pay.

Canceling and refunds in the terms

What if I run out?

Nothing stops working except the button that needs more. When you've used a month's AI fit checks, AI proposal drafts or AI section drafts, those AI buttons pause until your allowance resets at midnight UTC on the 1st of each month (the evening before in US time zones), and everything you've already made stays. Unused allowances don't carry over to the next month. You can choose a bigger plan at any time and its higher limits apply right away. On Free, you can start a new bid once one of your 2 active bids is submitted, marked Not bidding or closed, and Save works again once you have fewer than 10 open saved notices. Payments aren't refunded for unused allowances.

What is an AI fit check?

The AI summary of a notice is free to read. An AI fit check rates how well a notice fits your business and suggests your checklist answers; it counts against your plan. A fit check also tells you what to check before you decide whether to bid (a "bid/no-bid" decision). Thousands of open notices already have an AI summary. For a notice without one, running a fit check writes it first, for the same 1 fit check. You get 1 a month on Free, 15 on Pro and 50 on Pro + AI, and they reset at midnight UTC on the 1st of each month (the evening before in US time zones). AI writes in English, whatever language the notice or your website uses.

Can my team share one account?

No. Each account is for one person, and sharing an account isn't allowed under the Terms. There's no team plan yet. If several people at your company want to use FedReady, each can create their own account. If you need something built for a team, email hello@fedready.us and tell us what you need.

How up to date is the data?

Open notices are refreshed every day from SAM.gov, and past awards come from USAspending.gov. Always check the notice on SAM.gov before you bid.

Do you cover state and local bids?

No, on purpose. FedReady covers federal contracts from SAM.gov, plus small business research awards (SBIR/STTR) and past federal awards from USAspending.gov, and puts its effort into explaining that one market well. If you mainly sell to states, counties, cities or school districts, a tool that covers state and local bids will suit you better. Our comparison pages, linked below, name a few.

Why not just use SAM.gov?

You can: SAM.gov is the free, official site, and with a free account you can save searches and get email notices. FedReady uses the same SAM.gov notices and adds search in everyday words, contracts ranked for your business, plain-English AI summaries, deadline tracking and research on who won similar work, much of it on the Free plan. Paid plans add more saved searches and AI fit checks, unlimited bids and the bid builder. You still register on SAM.gov, and you should confirm a notice there before you bid. Our FedReady vs SAM.gov page, linked below, compares them line by line.

Do I need FedReady to register on SAM.gov?

No. SAM.gov registration is free, and you can do it yourself. FedReady helps you find, track and bid on contracts once you're registered, and our free guides walk through registration step by step.
