Some details are in the notice's attachments, which this summary didn't read. Check the attachments on SAM.gov.
The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) has an open Broad Agency Announcement (BAA), called Emergent IV, for research and development in listed Areas of Interest. Companies first send a short white paper, and DLA may then ask for full technical and cost proposals. The notice text is mostly a long list of amendments.
Watch out for
- Details only in attachments. The Areas of Interest, white paper format, eligibility and evaluation are all in attachments, so the notice alone does not tell you what to submit.
Please refer to the BAA attachment for further information.
- Conflicting ceiling figures. The notice says both a $50 Million and a $125 million ceiling, so the real size of the program is unclear.
Amendment 06 raises the ceiling of the Emergent IV BAA0001-22 BAA to $125,000,000.00 from $50,000,000.00.
- R&D work with no guaranteed award. Sending a white paper does not mean DLA will ask for a proposal or make an award.
Read from the notice text only.
