SeriousWorth checkingMinor

  • Serious: Total small business set-aside. Only small businesses under the $45 Million size standard for NAICS 236220 can compete; SAM.gov's own fields list no set-aside, so confirm in the solicitation.
  • Serious: Two-phase selection: dates and who advances not stated. The buy uses two-phase design-build selection, but this notice gives no date for either phase and doesn't say who may take part in Phase 2; the solicitation will set them.
  • Worth checking: Remote Alaska site with contractor-run logistics. The contractor must get all materials and equipment to a remote site in King Salmon, so shipping and logistics can drive cost and schedule.

  • Worth checking: Contractor must do the design as well as the build. Design-build means one firm is responsible for design and construction, so a bidder needs design capability or a design partner.
  • Minor: Notice numbers differ. The attached presolicitation is numbered 140FGA26Q0016, while SAM.gov lists solicitation number 140FGA26Q0056; confirm which one the solicitation will use.
