Things to watch (9)
From the version posted Oct 22, 2026.
- Serious: Date passed (Oct 22, 2026): Must use SF 1442 version 2. A quote on any other version of the SF 1442 will not be accepted, so use the version issued October 22, 2026.
- Serious: Payment bond or letter of credit for 100 percent of price. A small firm needs a surety or bank able to back the full contract price within 10 days of award.
- Worth checking: Quantities and sizes left to the bidder. The Government will not give wall dimensions, so each bidder takes off its own quantities and prices at its own risk.
Show all 9Show fewer
- Worth checking: Asbestos possible; abatement likely by change order. The Government does the testing, but the winner may have to abate asbestos and the 2005 survey report is access-controlled.
- Worth checking: Roller shade count is a placeholder. The Government says the number and locations of shades to replace are unknown and may change by contract modification.
- Minor: Sound masking area differs between documents. The scope of work says the whole office, while the posted answers limit sound masking to the common corridor, so confirm which governs.
- Minor: Work in an occupied office, 7 AM to 5 PM. The FHWA office stays occupied, so noise and dust control and daytime-only work must be priced in.
- Minor: Strict page limits. The technical volume is limited to 2 pages and annexes not required by the solicitation count toward page limits.
- Minor: Contractor badges are issued in Las Vegas. Staff must get badges at the GSA Field Office in Las Vegas, a trip from Carson City.

- Remove and reinstall all roller shades in the office and replace four to match the existing ones as closely as possible; the count of four is a placeholder for pricing
- Mount Government-furnished video teleconference equipment in Office 225; add new data drops and power at the equipment height
- Install a stand-alone sound masking system in the common corridor only, per the posted answers to questions
- Work around asbestos testing that the Government will do; any abatement would most likely come as a change order
- Send a construction schedule within 3 working days of the notice to proceed, weekly written schedule updates, and copies of material orders with tracking numbers for lead items

- Estimated value
- Price range is between $50,000 and $100,000 (stated in the solicitation)
