What Is an OSDBU?

An OSDBU (Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization) is a federal agency's small business office, and a good first contact at any agency.

OSDBU (Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization) in plain English

The Small Business Act requires an OSDBU in each agency with buying authority. Some agencies call it the Office of Small Business Programs.

OSDBU staff help small businesses understand what their agency buys and how. They're a good place to ask about upcoming needs and outreach events before you contact a contracting officer.
