Watch out for
- Subcontracting restricted. Subcontracting needs written permission from the Contracting Officer, which makes it hard to team for equipment you cannot service yourself.
Subcontracting of any ensuing award of this solicitation will not be allowed without written permission of the Contracting Officer.
- Manufacturer-certified technicians required. Every preventive maintenance visit must be done by a technician certified by the equipment maker, which can be hard for a small firm to staff.
All PMs shall be provided by a manufacturer certified technician.
- Parts included in the price. All parts are the contractor's responsibility, and repairs require a cost estimate plus a commercial price comparison, so pricing risk sits with the contractor.
All required parts shall be provided by the Contractor.
- Narrow work hours and scheduling. Work only during business hours and must be coordinated with the COR two weeks ahead.
All work shall be coordinated with the COR at least two (2) weeks in advance
- Sources sought only. No solicitation is guaranteed, and the work does not start until August 2027.
This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ANNOUCEMENT ONLY and is NOT a request for proposals or quotes.
