The VA Illiana Health Care System in Danville, Illinois plans to award at least two construction IDIQ contracts (a MATOC) for repair, alteration and new construction work, with a five-year ordering period. Watch out for
- Bonding capacity required. You need at least $2,000,000 in bonding capacity, which can be hard for newer or smaller construction firms to obtain.
Contractors will be required under the contract to have a minimum bonding capacity of $2,000,000 for the life of the contract.
- SDVOSB only. Only certified service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses can compete.
- Task orders are competed again. Winning a MATOC spot does not guarantee work; you must bid on each task order against the other awardees.
