AI summary Beta
The U.S. Department of State (Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations) is doing market research for a construction contract to fit out three floors of a leased, occupied building for a consulate in Nuuk, Greenland. This is a Sources Sought notice only, not a request for proposals: it asks interested firms to send a short capability statement by October 13, 2026.
Watch out for
- Large project, remote overseas location. A $25-$32 million construction job in Greenland needs strong bonding, overseas logistics and experience, which is hard for many small businesses.
Approximate construction project cost is $25 - $32 million.
- Sources Sought only, not a solicitation. This is market research; no award comes from it and the Government will not tell respondents the results.
Respondents will not be notified of the results of any review conducted or the capability statements received.
- Work in an occupied building. Building is shared with other tenants (offices and apartments), which can complicate access, scheduling and noise or safety controls.
