GSA Mid-Atlantic Region plans a multiple award IDIQ contract for repair and alteration construction in Maryland, set aside for the 8(a) program, with a $7.5 million maximum across all task orders. It would run one base year plus four option years, with about five firms awarded. This is a 2015 pre-solicitation notice.
Watch out for
- Small guaranteed minimum. Each awardee is guaranteed only $2,500 for the base year and nothing in option years, so work depends on winning task orders.
There is no guaranteed minimum for any option years.
- Shared ceiling and competition for each task order. The $7.5 million maximum is shared among about five firms and every firm can bid on every task order.
The $7,500,000.00 will not be separated equally per awardee.
- Award without discussion. You get one shot at your best price and technical offer, since the Government may not hold discussions.
The Government intends to make award without discussion.
- Outdated registration references. The notice names old systems (CCR, ORCA, FedBizOpps) that may no longer be used, so check current requirements.
