The DLA Nonappropriated Fund Contracting Office wants a caterer to serve a Thanksgiving appreciation meal for about 2,500 people at the Defense Distribution Center Susquehanna in New Cumberland, PA. It is a firm-fixed-price commercial services contract awarded on lowest price technically acceptable. The meal is on November 18, 2026, with November 19 as a backup date.
Watch out for
- Large single-day event. Serving about 2,500 people in a 3-hour window on a base needs strong catering capacity and base access, with no room for error.
- Low-price award. LPTA means the lowest acceptable price wins, so margins can be thin.
Evaluation Method: Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA)
