Sources Sought Notice Rebuilding Material Handling Equipment Motors SP330026SS5003 This announcement is a Sources Sought Notice only and is being issued solely for market research and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. Responses must be in writing. In addition to facilitating appropriate acquisition decisions, the U.S. Government hopes to gain knowledge of the interest and capability of small business concerns. This is not a request for quotes and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government. Service Description: The Government is seeking sources who can rebuild various material handling equipment (MHE) motors. The vendor would be required to pick up the motors at the Government location, provide all labor and materials to complete the motor rebuilds at their location, and once completed return the motors to the Government location. These services would need to be completed within 3 weeks from an order being issued. A one-year warranty would be included on all rebuilt motors. The factory specifications for each motor must be maintained to ensure all proper functionality is restored when the Government installs them. MHE motors needing repair would consist of the following manufacturers: Shabmuller, Ametek, Yale, Hyster, Landoll, Drexel, Hyundai, and Crown. Location: The location of the motors to be retrieved from and returned to is DLA Distribution in New Cumberland, PA. Objective: The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to conduct market research to identify potential sources capable and interested in performing these repair sources for the Government. Interested and capable vendors should respond to this notice by emailing the following information/responses to the contact point(s) in the SAM announcement: Company name and address Point of contact, with email and phone number CAGE code and UEI Is your company considered a small business under the NAICS code of 811310 with a size standard of $12.5M? If not, is your company considered small under a related NAICS code? Type of small business, if applicable A capability statement that addresses the vendor’s qualifications and ability to perform as a contractor specifically for the work described below. In particular, respondents are also encouraged to provide specific examples (e.g. contract number, point of contact information) of the vendor’s experience providing the same or similar supplies/services to that described below.
