The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Far East District wants a contractor for geotechnical drilling, sampling, in-situ testing and geophysical investigation at military bases in the Republic of Korea. It is a firm-fixed price single award task order contract (IDIQ) with about $3 million in total capacity, one base year plus four option years.
Watch out for
- Work is overseas in Korea. Drilling at several military bases in Korea means mobilizing crews and equipment abroad and likely meeting base access rules, which is hard for a small U.S. business without local capacity.
Geotechnical Drilling Services at various military bases in the Republic of Korea
- Long commitment with a single award. One company wins the whole five-year contract, so the award is all-or-nothing.
The total duration of the contract is sixty months if all options are exercised.
