AI summary Beta
NAVFAC Far East plans a multi-year, single-award IDIQ service contract for maintenance, inspection and repair of HVAC systems, hangars, and aboveground and underground fuel storage tanks at U.S. Naval Air Facility Atsugi, Japan. This is a synopsis only, not a request for proposals. Award will go to the lowest priced technically acceptable offer.
Watch out for
- Work performed entirely in Japan. The contract is awarded and performed in Japan, so a U.S.-only small business needs a Japanese presence or partner.
Any contract resulting from this solicitation will be awarded and performed in its entirety in the country of Japan.
- No SOFA status for contractor. The U.S. will not give the contractor or its employees status under the Status of Forces Agreement, so they must follow Japanese rules on their own.
- Price-only competition. Lowest price technically acceptable awards favor the cheapest offer.
- Old notice. Posted in 2018, so the solicitation is probably closed.
