AI summary Beta
The Air Force T-38 Program Office at Hill AFB, Utah is doing market research (a Sources Sought / Request for Information) to find off-the-shelf replacements for obsolete analog parts in the attitude and heading system of T-38A and AT-38B trainer jets. This is not a contract offer. It only asks companies to send a white paper by early November 2026.
Watch out for
- Market research only, no award. Responding costs you time and money, and the Government says it will not pay for it or promise a later contract.
The Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI.
- Due time conflicts between notice and RFI. SAM.gov shows a deadline of 10:30 AM Mountain-type offset (-07:00) on 3 Nov 2026, but the RFI says 4:00 PM EST that day, so send early to be safe.
no later than 4:00 PM EST on 03 November 2026
- Aircraft avionics capability needed. Respondents must show experience with avionics modernization, airworthiness certification and readiness levels, which is hard for a company without a flight-hardware track record.
