AI summary Beta
DLA Aviation Philadelphia is asking companies to show interest in manufacturing 7 main fuel controls for the T-700 engine (NSN 7RH 2915 01-492-3907 XQ, P/N 4046T52G37). The Government plans to buy from one source or a limited number of sources, and says it lacks the data needed to manufacture the part. This is a 2015 sources sought notice, not a request for proposals.
Watch out for
- Approved sources only. Award will not wait for source approval, so a new company without approval is unlikely to win.
DLA Aviation Philadelphia will not delay award while source approval is pending.
- Limited or single-source intent. The Government may not compete this buy at all, so responding does not guarantee a chance to quote.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
- No technical data. The Government does not have the data to make the part, so a bidder would have to supply its own manufacturing data and know-how for a flight-related engine component.
The Government does not possess the data necessary to perform the required manufacture of the item.
