The National Park Service wants to lease out a restored 1786 single-family house at Minute Man National Historical Park in Concord, MA. This is a lease where you pay the government rent, not a contract where you get paid. Maximum lease term is three years, and the highest responsive monthly rent wins.
Watch out for
- Not a paid contract. You would pay the government at least $51,600 a year to live in the house, so this is only a fit for someone who wants a residence, not a business seeking revenue.
The lessee will be required by the lease to pay at least fair market value rent to the NPS.
- Bid not counted until NPS confirms by email. A bid only counts once NPS sends a written reply confirming receipt, so submit early and follow up.
Bid submissions will not be considered received until the NPS issues a written response confirming receipt via email reply.
- Residential use only, with upkeep duties. The lessee must keep the historic house and grounds well tended and pay all utilities and routine maintenance, and a business use appears to be outside the intended use.
- Award can fall through. Selection does not guarantee a lease, and NPS may reject all bids or cancel at any time.
Selection of a bid does not guarantee a lease for the Bidder.
