AI summary Beta
DLA Weapons Support - Columbus plans a long-term contract for fuel shut-off valves (NSN 4810-010845981) using FAR Part 15 procedures, with restricted competition to approved sources. It would be a firm-fixed-price indefinite delivery contract with a three-year base and two one-year options, about 450 valves per year, and a government first article test is required.
Watch out for
- Restricted to approved sources. Competition is limited and four approved sources are named, so a new supplier would likely need to be qualified first.
This procurement is being conducted using Other Than Full and Open Competition.
- Long first article test timeline. You must submit test units in 120 days and wait about 90 days for Government evaluation before production deliveries begin.
Government First Article Test (FAT) requirement applies
- Confusing amendment history. The notice lists several solicitation numbers and old and new dates (SPE7MX26R0069 vs SPE7MX26R0081), so check the latest amendment on DIBBS before acting.
- Technical data in C-Folder. Drawings and specifications are only available through the DLA Collaboration Folder once the solicitation is released.
Technical data for NSN 4810-010845981 is available through the DLA Collaboration Folder (C-Folder).
