AI summary Beta
The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA Aviation, Philadelphia) plans to buy 8 air heat exchangers (NSN 7R-1660-014764602-V2). Only sources already approved by the Government have been solicited, because the part is flight critical and needs source approval.
Watch out for
- Restricted to approved sources. A new company is unlikely to win unless it is already approved, since approval normally takes longer than the award timeline.
The time required for approval of a new source is normally such that an award cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source.
- Incomplete source approval data means no award. An offer that lacks the full source approval package will not be considered.
Offers received which fail to provide all data required by the Source Approval Brochure or document previous submission of all data required by the Source Approval Brochure will not be considered for award under this solicitation.
- Flight-critical part. The item is flight critical, so the technical bar and documentation burden are high.
