NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (Navy) is buying repair of a multifunction calibrator (CAGE 4U744, ref. 754). The amendment cuts the quantity to 2 each, with a firm-fixed price, FOB origin, and an option to order up to 100% more. Offers are sent by email to the Navy contact.
Watch out for
- Authorized-distributor requirement. Only authorized distributors of the original manufacturer can be considered, which limits small businesses without that status.
Consideration for award of contract shall be given only to authorized distributors of the original manufacturer's item represented in this solicitation.
- Price reduction for late turnaround. Missing the required repair turnaround time costs 1% per unit, and the government may also terminate for default.
Any assets for which the contractor does not meet the required RTAT will incur a price reduction of 1% per unit.
- Repair of units in unknown condition. The price must cover missing parts, damage and handling damage, so repair cost is uncertain.
Include repair price with all costs associated with receipt and complete repair of material that may be in unwhole condition
