AI summary Beta
The Navy (NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support, Mechanicsburg) wants quotes to repair RECEIVER SUBASSY units, not to buy new ones. The Government is seeking a repair turnaround time of 180 days, with Government source inspection and a possible added quantity option. The text also includes repair paragraphs for a TRANSMITTER SUBASSE.
Watch out for
- Authorized distributor proof required. A small shop that is not an authorized distributor or the original manufacturer of the item may not be considered for award.
If you desire to be considered as a potential source for award of this contract, proof of being an authorized distributor shall be provided on company letterhead
- Fast repair turnaround. The clock runs from physical receipt of the asset at your facility to Government acceptance, so you need repair capacity and test gear ready.
The Government is seeking a Repair Turnaround Time (RTAT) of: 180 days
- Repair uses manufacturer procedures. Repairs must follow the contractor's repair standards and manuals, and inspection and testing must follow the original manufacturer's specifications, which a non-OEM shop may not have.
The Contractor shall perform all inspection and testing requirements as specified in the original manufacturer's specifications and drawings.
- Bilateral award and price reduction if beyond repair. You must accept the award in writing, and the price can be reduced if an item turns out to be beyond repair.
The resultant award of this solicitation will be issued bilaterally, requiring the contractor's written acceptance prior to execution.
