AI summary Beta
DLA Aviation at Philadelphia wants quotes for a nose gear taxi item (aircraft component, commercial item, apparently for 737NG/P-8A aircraft) under emergency acquisition authority. Only newly made parts from government-approved sources, with an FAA Form 8130-3 release certificate, are acceptable. Quotes are due 2026-10-26.
Watch out for
- Approved sources only. If you are not an approved source, or an authorized distributor of one, your offer is rejected, which shuts out most small resellers.
Any distributors of approved sources MUST submit a copy of their authorized distributor letter
- No refurbished or repaired parts. Only newly manufactured spares qualify, so surplus or overhauled stock cannot be offered.
Refurbished, remanufactured, or repaired material will not be acceptable.
- No Government drawings. You must prove your part meets form, fit and function without Government drawings.
Drawings are not available for this Request For Quote.
- Heavy certification and paperwork. You need FAA release certificates, traceability and commerciality proof, which take time and cost money.
Traceability documentation shall be provided to verify the supply chain from the original manufacturer to the vendor.
