The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (Redstone Arsenal, AL) plans to buy an overhaul of 6 direct current motors (NSN 6105-01-070-7614, P/N 527KE3) on a single firm-fixed-price award. The notice says only two named companies can do it because they own the technical data. The work is done at the contractor's facility and is currently unfunded.
Watch out for
- Restricted to two named companies. Only the two firms that own the technical data are named as sources, so other small businesses are effectively shut out.

- Unfunded. Award may not happen until money is available.
This requirement is currently unfunded. Award will be withheld pending receipt of sufficient funds.
- No repair standard available. There is no depot maintenance work requirement, so the overhaul depends on technical data you may not have.
There is not a DMWR available for this requirement.
- Cyber and export-control paperwork. Getting technical orders requires a DD 2345 and a CMMC certification printout from SPRS.
