AI summary Beta
NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (Navy) plans to repair or modify 12 control display units under a sole-source action with the previously approved source(s). Other companies can still send in a proposal, but only if they include the Navy's source approval information with it.
Watch out for
- Sole-source, approved sources only. The Navy intends to deal with one source, so a business that is not already approved has a very hard path to an award.
intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1
- Source approval package required with your offer. Offers without the full source approval data are not considered, and approval of a new source normally takes too long to delay an award.
Offers received which fail to provide all data required by the Source Approval Brochure
- Not a request for competitive proposals. The Navy may decide not to compete the work, so a response may not lead to a contract.
This notice of intent is not a request forcompetitive proposals.
